Sunsets

Believe it or not, the sunsets viewed from the shores of Southampton are rated one of the seven best in the world according to National Geographic. I have yet to actually verify this local folklore, so you'll have to see it for yourself to decide.

Whether it is true or not, summer evenings find visitors and inhabitants alike wandering down to the water's edge to experience colour that radiates across the sky.


Southampton is perfect for walking. Stroll down tree lined streets with beautifully maintained homes or follow the gentle shoreline and discover treasures that have washed ashore.

Beaches are unsupervised and often very quiet. There is a popular area for swimming with a sandy bottom base and a gradual decline to the water's depth that stretches almost 200 feet from shore.
